Industrial Air Dryer Maintenance and Repair – Textile Sector

The Importance of Humidity and Dryness in Textile Production

At Alpin Çorap's textile production facility, comprehensive maintenance and repair were carried out on the air dryer (adsorption dryer / refrigerated-type dryer) systems, which are decisive for raw-material quality and machine performance. During the processing stages of textile yarns and fabrics, air humidity rising above certain limits can lead to electrostatic problems, yarn breakages and fabric-quality deviation.

The air-dryer maintenance process covers condenser and evaporator heat-exchanger cleaning, adsorbent-rotor inspection (in rotary-type systems), refrigerant pressure measurement, dew-point sensor calibration and electrical control-board testing. In the fault-diagnosis processes, a thermal camera and a gas detector are used to quickly get to the root of the problem.

Keeping the facility's air-dryer systems in optimal working condition not only preserves product quality but also lowers energy consumption and maintenance costs over the long term.

The maintenance intervals were optimized according to the production pace and working hours and planned so as to keep machine downtime to a minimum. To enable the rapid supply of failed parts, consultancy support was also provided to the facility's technical team on spare-parts stock management.
